1. What is your personal challenge for YearNoWriMad 2013?

For 2013, my personal writing challenge is to finish three novels and to possibly complete my vampire trilogy (300,000+ words!). Two of those novels are already started: Rainbow Catcher and Demon World. (I don't want to have more unfinished novels haunting my computer and my dreams!) Possible titles for the third novel are "Blue Angel" or "Angel Rising" (which would take place at the end of "Demon and Fairy" and "Demon World") or "The Bayard House," which would be a different setting using wizards.

 2. What obstacles will you most likely face along the way? How will you expertly combat them?

The most irksome obstacle I will have to face is getting stuck in the middle of my novels. I tend to get stuck when my characters start to do whatever they like instead of following the plot. The best way to face this when you don't know what to write is to keep writing anyway (or to add a vampire ;D ). The second obstacle is the historical research I need to go through for my vampire trilogy. I might just decide to write whatever I feel like and check the facts later in the editing process, but I hate being inconsistent (even in my first draft).

3. What made you want to take on this particular challenge?

My boyfriend told me that I should write more, as it makes me happy. I counted that I have nine more books worth of material to be written, finished, edited and published. My drafts are accessible for free on my blog because I like to know that my readers smile and cry when they read my novels.

4. How do you plan to emerge from your personal challenge successfully?

I think success is mainly a decision and I refuse to lose.
